2018 Interest Meeting
January 7th, 2018
Dear Saints of Sovereign Grace Church,
On January 7th I will have a Redemption Hill Church interest meeting after Sunday Celebration. At the interest meeting, I will share the vision for Redemption Hill Church and present options for how you can get involved. Lunch will be provided (please RSVP here so we know how much food to get).
You might be thinking to yourself, “should I attend this interest meeting?” The answer is, Yes! If you have the heart to see the gospel go forth through church planting, I hope you will attend and hear about what God is doing through Sovereign Grace Church to plant Redemption Hill Church. Some of you have prayed about joining the church plant. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to learn about how to get involved in the months ahead.
The bottom line is this; God is doing a great work through Sovereign Grace Church, and I think you will be excited to hear about the work God is doing to raise up Redemption Hill Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
For the King and the Advancement of His Kingdom,
NexGen Parents Prayer and Care
January 17th, 2018
NexGen Parents Prayer and Care The NexGen youth ministry exists to partner with parents in raising up the next generation of disciples who delight in, display, and declare the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
Partnering with parents to disciple their youth into a relationship with Christ means equipping parents (Ephesians 4:11-12) to know how to disciple their youth (Ephesians 6:4). While your kids are at NexGen Wednesday Worship, join Pastor Rick and Pastor Jon for an evening of prayer for our kids, care for one another, and discipleship equipping.
All parents of youth are encouraged to come. Light refreshments will be provided.
Please RSVP to help us with refreshment orders.
We're meeting at Pastor Rick Gamache's house (213 Burncrest Court, Burnsville, 55337).

Women's Meeting - Teaching
February 10th, 2018
Who are we? What does it mean to be in Christ? The theme of this year’s women’s ministry is In Him. We are in Christ, our primary identity is wrapped up in who he is. And this is such good news!
Join the women of Sovereign Grace Church for a time of fellowship and teaching. The morning begins at 9am with a light breakfast, followed by worship in song, and teaching by Delaine Gamache. Then we will have a chance to grow and bond as the women of SGC through discussion.
Let us band together and pursue Christ together!
February 10th, 9-11am, at Oak Grove Middle School.
February 17th, 2018
“Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’”
Join us for the next Act Like Men meeting where we will take an honest look at what it means for men to walk in holiness by pursuing purity of heart and purity in life. Every man, from youth to adult, should attend this meeting because together we want to pursue holiness by putting away sin. Keith Lokkesmoe, Executive Director of Trafficking Justice, will guest speak.
Bridges: A Powerful Course Paving the Way for Fruitful Relationships with Muslims
February 25th - April 1st, 2018
All too often, we as Christians can respond to Muslims without the compassion that characterized Jesus. Bridges seeks to replace fear with love and gentle boldness, reshaping the way Christians respond to their Muslim neighbors.
Bridges focuses on similarities, not differences. Despite deep differences in Christianity and Islam, areas of overlap exist, providing common ground upon which to connect. Bridges teaches how to use similar concepts in Christianity and Islam as a bridge to understanding and open hearts.
Bridges meets you where you are. Bridges content is understandable even without much prior knowledge of Islam, and deep enough to be valuable to those seeking to build on what they already know about Muslims.
Bridges is practical and biblical. Bridges allows you to gain biblical insight into Islamic history and Muslim beliefs, while providing useful next steps and stories that help you put the teaching into practice.
Bridges is widely used and respected. From full-time missionaries to informal small-groups, Bridges is a trusted resource for thousands of Christians globally, and comes strongly recommended by respected Christian leaders.
The Bridges Course will be taught over 6 consecutive weeks on Sunday Mornings at Oak Grove Middle School. 8:30-9:45am.
The $10 registration fee covers course materials and refreshments. Register Here
Marriage Seminar w/ Ray and Jani Ortlund
May 4th - May 5th, 2018
“This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.” Ephesians 5:32
Marriage reveals something of eternal significance. From the beginning, God designed marriage to convey a greater reality—the passionate, unfailing, redeeming love of God for sinners, the eternal romance between Christ and his bride.
Tracing marriage throughout Scripture, from the first marriage in the garden of Eden to the ultimate marriage in the book of Revelation, this seminar will lay out a transcendent vision of marriage that dignifies our own imperfect unions as a display of the gospel, offering insight and hope to every married person.
